Northaven’s holistic approach to health and wellbeing manifests clearly in our devotion to resident fitness. The goal of the exercise program at Northaven Assisted Living is to enable residents engage in fitness and have fun doing so. We work with residents, accommodating our exercises to match the abilities and goals of each individual. Our classes focus on increasing range of motion, developing strength, improving balance and maintaining an active life style.
Classes often change but include balloon badminton, balloon volleyball, mobility/range of motion stretches, body weight workouts, resistance band training, and light weight lifting.
Residents from Northaven Assisted Living are invited to attend exercise classes at Northaven Independent Living and utilize our 24-hour fitness center located in the basement of our Independent Living building.
