Northaven is able to provide many services and amenities to our residents because of the generous hearts and amazing work of our dedicated volunteers. There are many ways to get involved helping Northaven provide compassionate care to our residents and helping them to stay active, connected, and engaged.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, interests and skill levels. From teenagers looking for community service hours to professionals seeking ways to share their skills and even seniors finding ways to serve their community in retirement.

If you have a special interest or skill you’d like to share with our residents, let us know! If you enjoy gardening, light housework or providing companionship, we have a place for you.

• Help with parties/activities

• Go for walks with residents

• Perform music for residents

• Conduct vesper services

• Indoor or outdoor gardening projects

• Gardening/yard clean up in the spring/fall

• Help with cleaning projects (walker/wheelchair “Car Wash”)

• Techie? Give a computer or phone skills presentation

• Lead a craft session
