Our Assisted Living community consisting of 40 studio apartments is designed to remind, guide and assist residents in their daily activities. All apartments have full private baths, cable TV and phone outlets.

Northaven provides gracious dining opportunities, 24 hour security, an emergency call system, medication management, 24 hour RN oversight and medical transportation. We have an in-house beauty salon, computer center and library.

One fee covers board and room, housekeeping, RN case management, medication management, laundry service, shower assistance, bed making, dressing and grooming assistance, incontinence management and basic foot care.

We are located in the midst of the Northgate shopping and professional district. Residents can shop, dine, bank, get medical and dental care, go the post office, check out the library or catch a bus all within two blocks.

“My mother, Elsa, came to Northaven Assisted Living only a few years after it opened.

We felt very lucky to have found a place. A few years later, her sister-in-law, Charlotte, joined her, and a decade later my sister, Janice. I think that qualifies us as members of the Northaven family.

Indeed it has felt like a family to us over the years. There is a friendliness that is very different from the institutional quality one finds in many retirement facilities. Sometimes as we age, people begin to see us as old, infirm, no longer important. Not Northaven! My mother loved baking, even calling herself “Cookie Lady.” She believed that she would have to give up baking. But when the staff learned of her story, they arranged that very Tuesday afternoon, Elsa could come down to the kitchen and bake cookies which she shared with all the other residents. It truly felt like home to her.

For me, Northaven is an ark…a place of refuge. Rev. Founded to keep people safe and cared for even through challenging times, Northaven is a place of deep compassion and quiet dignity especially for people with limited financial resources.”
