Gaard Development and Northaven Senior Living announce partnership creating a multi-generational campus
Northaven Senior Living is pleased to partner with Gaard Development, which has agreed to buy a parcel Northaven owns as part of its existing campus.
“While Gaard will wholly own the new development, we have signed agreements to integrate the new development into our existing community," explains Bill Dorn, Director of Development. “We are excited about the ways we can do intergenerational programing in shared common spaces, create a daycare program in which seniors can participate, and find new ways to build a more vibrant community together.”
Residential apartments, early childhood education and green space
Gaard Development intends to support the Northaven Senior Living vision of developing a multi-generational campus on which residents will co-mingle in common spaces, including green space, and is seeking an early childhood education provider for the commercial first floor.
Above the commercial space will be six stories of 80–90 residential apartments in a mix of Studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. Units will serve individuals and families with incomes between 50–100% of Area Median Income (AMI), which is approximately $35,000–$85,000 in household income.
The proposed apartments will have well-designed contemporary finishes designed to offer a quality home without the expense of high-end finishes.
